From status: the state of systems. The name is a promise about drift: your infrastructure has a desired state, and the job is to reconcile it, then leave. The -vik is a harbor. Ours is on the Malabar coast, not a fjord.
Statvik is a small consultancy for teams whose infrastructure has become the bottleneck. We've spent our careers on the operations side of software: building delivery pipelines, running Kubernetes in production, untangling cloud accounts, and being on the wrong end of 3 a.m. pages.
We work from Kerala, India (10°N 76°E) with clients worldwide. The timezone mechanics are on How we work, stated plainly, because that's the first question a worldwide buyer should ask.
We stay deliberately small. No bench to keep billable, no juniors to place, no pressure to grow an engagement past its end date. We take on scoped problems, fix them alongside your team, and leave you stronger than we found you.
How we choose to work
Senior only
Everyone here has carried a pager and owned production. You never pay us to learn the basics on your time, and you never get a delivery bench.
Ship with your team
We work inside your repos, your reviews, and your standups. Slideware is not a deliverable; merged pull requests are.
Leave you self-sufficient
Success is your team running everything we built without us. Handover, documentation, and pairing are part of every engagement, not extras.
Boring technology bias
We reach for proven tools first and novelty only when it earns its keep. Your infrastructure is not the place for our résumés.
Plain scoping
If you don't need us, or a problem sits outside what we're good at, you hear it on the first call. That costs us some work and keeps the rest credible.
