Pricing
Three shapes, numbers stated plainly on request, and a bill that only ever contains engineering.
Our rates are competitive for a structural reason: senior engineers, a Kerala cost base, and nothing on the invoice except the work itself. Ask, and you get a number in the first conversation.
Three shapes, one rule: a defined end
Review / audit
fixed price, agreed before we start
~2–3 weeks
Infrastructure review, cost audit, or delivery assessment. One number, quoted up front; it does not move. You get written findings, a walkthrough, and a roadmap your team can run with or without us.
Build / migration
weekly rate, defined end date
scoped per engagement
Implementation work: pipelines, landing zones, migrations, cost fixes. Billed weekly because real estates move scope, but always with an end date set at the start. No open-ended retainers.
Advisory
light retainer, optional
after an engagement
A few hours a month for reviews and questions, for teams that want us within reach after handover. Most do not need it, and we say so.
The full engagement model, including the access ladder and timezone mechanics, is on How we work.
You pay for the work. Only the work.
Most consulting invoices carry passengers. Ours cannot, because we are built without them.
- 01No bench: nobody idle between projects is priced into your engagement
- 02No account managers, delivery leads, or junior shadows on the invoice
- 03No expensive-metro office being amortized into a day rate
- 04No percentage-of-savings deals; they create the wrong incentives
- 05No paid discovery phase before any value lands
Pricing questions, answered directly
- How much does a review or audit cost?
- A fixed price, quoted before we start, based on the size of the estate and the depth you want. Ask with a rough description of your setup and you get a number, not a call sequence.
- What is the weekly rate?
- We do not publish a rate card, because scope varies too much for one number to be useful. We do state the rate plainly in the first conversation, before any commitment. No negotiation theater afterwards; the number is the number.
- How does the pricing compare with a US or European consultancy?
- Usually favorably, and for a structural reason rather than a discount: our cost base is Kerala, India, not London or New York. Seniority is where we refuse to compete on price. You get the same class of engineer, from a cheaper postcode.
- Why is a senior-only team competitive at all?
- Senior engineers finish sooner. A three-week review by someone who has run production before routinely beats three months of a larger, cheaper team learning on your systems. You pay for outcomes per engagement, not for hours per person.
- Is there a minimum engagement?
- Yes. The smallest shape is a fixed-scope review of roughly two weeks. We do not do hourly odd jobs; advice without enough context is not worth paying for. If your problem fits in a call, we tell you so on the call, free.
- What are the payment and contracting terms?
- Standard and boring on purpose: a short services agreement, NDAs signed routinely, invoicing per milestone or per week depending on the shape. Details are agreed in writing before anything starts.
